Sitting In on Courses
Students in the History of Decorative Arts program may register to "sit in" on history of decorative arts courses for no credit. These courses do not appear on a student's official George Mason University transcript. Permission to sit in on courses is given on a space available basis.
"Sitting In" Fee
For current students in the History of Decorative Arts program, the cost per course is $250. For program alumni, the cost per course is $500.
"Sitting In" Request
Current History of Decorative Arts program students who wish to sit in on a course should contact the Administrative and Communications Coordinator and complete a Sitting In Registration Form along with payment (credit card information or check payable to George Mason University/OCPE).
Transcripts for "Sitting In" Courses
George Mason University maintains a permanent record of the completion of non-credit courses. All students who sit in on courses in the History of Decorative Arts program will have a non-credit student record that indicates the name of the course as "History of Decorative Arts Seminar" and the date of the course(s).
To request an official non-credit student record, students should fill out the request form to the right and follow the instructions for submitting it.
