Work of Current HDA Student Stacy Cantrell Featured in Art Exhibition

Cantrell's work, a six-foot-high fabric cactus, appears in the exhibition "Against the Bias" at the Joan Hisaoka Healing Arts Gallery at 1632 U Street NW in Washington, DC.  Cantrell also led a 13-person team to yarn-bomb the gallery's facade.

The exhibition remains on view until December 21.  For information, see www.smithcenter.org/arts-healing/joan-hisaoka-art-gallery.html.

For the Washington Post's review of the exhibition, see this link.

Cantrell has also been interviewed by USA Today about the exhibit and the practice of "yarn bombing."  Watch the video and read the article here.
